Qualification types offered by the HOU

Undergraduate Degrees (Bachelor)
Upon successful completion of twelve (12) Course Modules students are awarded a Bachelor’s Degree such as Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BSc). Applicants to a course need to possess a High School Certificate (Apolytirion) from a Greek High School (Eniaio Lykeio) or an equivalent Greek or Foreign High School Certificate.  
  
Postgraduate degrees

A Master’s Degree 
Postgraduate qualifications require that applicants have already completed a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field at a Greek State University or a Technical Educational Institute. Each course has its own entry requirements (in terms of subjects already studied and awarded degree). Both the number of students accepted as well as the prerequisites per course are determined by the HOU Governing Committee.

Students are awarded a Master’s Degree  upon the successful completion of four (4) course modules and a Dissertation.

A Doctoral Degree
The requirements to enter a Ph.D. program at the HOU is to hold a Master's  (or equivalent) degree in a related field awarded by a Greek State University. Doctoral theses are supervised and structured according to the Laws of State Higher Education and the HOU Ph.D. study regulations. 

Undergraduate Vocational Training Certificates
Undergraduate Vocational training Certificates are awarded to students who have been accepted by the HOU for an Undergraduate Short Training Course  of one to eleven (1-11) modules.  
  
Postgraduate Vocational Training Certificates
Postgraduate Vocational Training Certificates are granted to university graduates that have been accepted by the HOU to attend a short training course, of less modules than those of a HOU Masters Both the number of students accepted as well as the prerequisites per course are determined by the HOU Governing Committee. 
  
Certificates of Attendance
Certificates of Attendance are issued to students who have successfully completed one or more course modules but do not wish to further continue to complete the Program.   

Students wishing to drop off are required to inform the HOU in writing, in order to receive a Certificate of Attendance for the completed modules.
