{"id":59475,"date":"2025-06-17T08:39:32","date_gmt":"2025-06-17T05:39:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.eap.gr\/?p=59475"},"modified":"2025-06-17T08:39:33","modified_gmt":"2025-06-17T05:39:33","slug":"daissy-hou-at-the-kick-off-transnational-partners-meeting-of-the-i-demo-european-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eap.gr\/en\/2025\/06\/17\/daissy-hou-at-the-kick-off-transnational-partners-meeting-of-the-i-demo-european-project\/","title":{"rendered":"DAISSy-HOU at the kick-off Transnational Partners\u2019 Meeting of the I-DEMO European project"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <strong>DAISSy Research Group of the Hellenic Open University (HOU) <\/strong>participated in the <strong>kick-off Transnational Partners\u2019 Meeting (TPM)<\/strong> of the \u201c<strong>I-DEMO: Innovating Destination Management through Game-based Tourism\u201d <\/strong>European project<strong>, <\/strong>which took place on 26\u201327 October 2024 in Pisa, Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main objective of the <strong>I-DEMO<\/strong> project is to strengthen the skills of tourism professionals, especially those working in Destination Management Organizations (DMOs), through the integration of game-based methodologies and tools. The project aims at developing a new professional profile and promoting creativity and digital transformation for enhancing the quality of tourism experiences as well as the sustainable development of local destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DAISSy-HOU actively contributes to all project deliverables, ensuring the quality implementation of all work packages. Additionally, DAISSy-HOU is responsible for the design and development of the<strong> Massive Open Online Course (MOOC)<\/strong> on <strong>\u201cGame-based Tourism\u201d,<\/strong> which will be freely available and aims to support skill development for tourism professionals. The Research Group will also be in charge of <strong>formulating a new professional profile<\/strong> in the field of game-based tourism.
