External Advisory Board

External Advisory Board of the H.O.U.

The Senate of the H.O.U., during its No. 18/07.07.2025 meeting, decided on the establishment of an External Advisory Board (EAB) at the H.O.U.

The Advisory Board is an important institution that significantly contributes to strengthening relationships and fostering synergies/collaborations between the University and scientific, social, and professional partners both in Greece and abroad.

International academic experience has demonstrated that higher education institutions benefit in multiple ways from the presence of external Advisory Boards within their operational structure, as:

  • Broader relationships are formed with social stakeholders that go beyond the narrow academic framework.
  • The utilization of the knowledge and experience of the Committee’s members has a highly positive impact on the development, outreach, international presence, and prestige of the University.

The role of the Advisory Board is consultative. It acts as a “bridge” of communication between the institution, society, and the labor market, while it also contributes with specialized recommendations for the University’s strategic development.
