THE HELLENIC OPEN UNIVERSITY (H.O.U.) is committed to make the relevant website: https://www.eap.gr/ accessible, according to the provisions of law 4727/2020 (Government Gazette 184 A ’23-09- 2020), Chapter H “DIGITAL ACCESS (INTRODUCTION IN THE GREEK LEGISLATION OF DIRECTION (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and the Council of 26 October 2016, for the accessibility of websites and applications for portable devices of the PUBLIC PUBLISHER)” Which incorporates in the national legal order Directive (EU) 2016/2012.

Compliance status

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAGs) set standards for web designers to improve overall accessibility. Three levels of compliance are defined: Level A, Level AA and Level AAA. The goal is for the website of the Hellenic Open University to have a satisfactory degree of compliance with WCAG 2.1, Level AA. In some cases, there may be parts of the content that are not fully compliant with that level of compliance.

The evaluation of the compliance of the website and the implementation with the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 and the WCAG 2.1 (Level AA) directives was carried out:

• with a self-assessment carried out by the Applications and Software Team of the Office of Network & Information Infrastructure of the Department of Installations & Execution of Projects of the Hellenic Open University and

Execution procedure

The competent management of the Hellenic Open University responds to the interested party in an appropriate way.
