The DAISSy Research Group of the Hellenic Open University (HOU) participated in the training activities organized within the framework of the “CRISIS-Competences for Resilient Smart Cities’ Staff“ EU project, that took place from 6th to 10th February 2023 in Frankfurt (Germany). The activities were implemented on site, at the premises of the FernUniversität, the state University of open distance education in Germany.

The DAISSy-HOU Research Group, Greek project partner,  was represented by Dr. Theodoros Panagiotakopoulos, CRISIS Project Administrator – DAISSy Researcher, who presented the project’s e-learning platform and explained its various functions. In addition, he analysed the processes about the registration, self-assessment as well the enrollment of trainees in the CRISIS Massive Open Online Course (MOOC).

The CRISIS project proposes a holistic approach to the professional development of the resilient and smart cities’ officers, through both the development of a new job profile as well as the design, development and delivery of a pilot training program to certify the first group of smart and resilient city officers.
