Programme, created within the framework of the Generation Next program, in collaboration with the DAISSy Research Group of Hellenic Open University, the Educational Non-Profit Organization SciCo – Science Communication and EllinoGermaniki Agogi.
The program titled “Educational Curriculum in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) for Educators” which is implemented through the LifeLong Learning Centre (KE.DI.VI.M.) of HOU is aimed at future or active teachers and aims to introduce them to the world of STEAM education, so that they can cultivate the skills and abilities required for teaching STEAM subjects and shaping a modern, attractive learning environment with STEM/STEAM approaches by utilizing the power of technology, with the aim of solving important social issues and empowering socially vulnerable groups.
The first cycle of the training program was completed in June 2023. Initially 402 teachers were registered. 130 teachers successfully completed the programme, who will receive a Training Certificate from KE.DI.VI.M. of HOU. The second cycle is expected to start towards the end of 2023. A relevant announcement and invitation to participate will be posted on the websites of HOU, KE.DI.VI.M. and DAISSy.
