Τhe DAISSy Research Group of the Hellenic Open University (HOU) announces the Infoday entitled:

«Towards Holistic and Inclusive Educational and Instructional Approaches. STEAM Education and the project SpicE: An opportunity for educators and schools»

The Infoday is co-organised by the 1st Position Educational Advisor for Philologists of Achaia, and the 3rd and 6th Position Educational Advisors for Primary School Teachers of Achaia, Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of Western Greece, is addressed to Teachers of Primary and Secondary Education at national level, and is held on Friday 6th September 2024 (08.30-14.00, EEST), at the Conference Hall of the Hellenic Open University (Building D, Aristotelous 18 str., Perivola, Patras), with parallel broadcasting (live-streaming) through YouTube.

The event is part of the implementation of the «Special Education STEAM Academy (SpicE)» European project, by DAISSy-HOU as the Coordinator, and under the Scientific Supervision of Achilles Kameas, Dean of School of Science and Technology, HOU.

So far, SpicE is the only project to combine STEAM Education with Inclusive Education.

Specifically:

  • You can pre-submit questions through the use of a respective form
  • A «Certificate of Attendance» will be given to any participant who wish for it.

It is noteworthy, that various interesting topics are included in the Infoday, and among them is the modular Educational Programme for Inclusive STEAM Education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) of the European project SpicE. The Educational Programme is offered free of charge and is launched on Monday 9th September 2024 with the enactment of a Massive Open Online Course-MOOC entitled «STEAM education for all learners: Incorporating STEAM and Inclusive education practices in everyday teaching», which can be complemented with the SpicE Blended Learning programme and SpicE mobility scheme for educators. Registeriοn to the MOOC is open!
