The Hellenic Open University (HOU) participated in the OpenEU Summer School 2026, hosted by the Open Universiteit in The Hague, Netherlands, from 28 to 30 August 2026.
The University was represented by three PhD candidates from different Schools:
Konstantinos Lambrou – School of Social Sciences
Menelaos Papamichelakis – School of Science and Technology
Kyriaki Rassia – School of Humanities
Three days of inspiring research presentations, interactive workshops, constructive feedback and meaningful academic exchange brought together doctoral researchers from across the OpenEU alliance.
The Summer School offered valuable opportunities to share research, exchange ideas, explore different perspectives and build new academic connections in an international and interdisciplinary environment.
Beyond the academic programme, the experience strengthened collaboration, networking and the sense of belonging to a wider European research community. The excellent organisation and warm hospitality of our Dutch colleagues at Open Universiteit contributed greatly to the success of the event, creating a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere for learning, collaboration and networking.
