Description

OpenEU is a European University alliance aiming to create the first pan-European open university. Its goal is to strengthen the digital, green, and social dimension of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), by offering equal access to high-quality higher education and lifelong learning to all, any time, from anywhere, regardless of personal or professional circumstances, age, gender, nationality, place of residence or time constraints.

Through technology-driven and flexible formats of learning, mobility, and knowledge exchange, OpenEU aspires to offer accessible and sustainable international experiences for all students and to make a meaningful contribution to the digital transformation of educational institutions.

Eight of Europe’s leading open and distance universities are joining forces, sharing common visions and bringing together their extensive expertise in digital education, in partnership with two on-campus higher education institutions and a set of academic, industrial, local and regional partners. Together, they are committed to addressing three main challenges of the European Higher Education Area: digital transformation, inclusiveness and equity, as well as lifelong learning.

Strategic Goals of OpenEU
