The DAISSy Research Group of the Hellenic Open University (HOU) participated in the 18th ALL DIGITAL Summit 2025, which was held in Valletta, Malta, on September 10th-12th, 2025, on the theme of “Educated Digital Citizens: Empowering Connected Generations“.
The program of the International Event was attended by more than two hundred (200) participants, among them representatives of european and international organizations, and it included keynote speeches, panels, workshops and informative sessions with digital leaders, educators, innovators, and changemakers from across Europe and beyond.
DAISSy-HOU “inhabited” the Digital Village, an exhibition style space where organisations showcased their work and networked, with an impressive stand in the “neighborhood” of “Access to Digital”. At this area, Ms. Eleni Georgakakou, Mr.Kostas Mantzos and Dr. Magda Spella, members of DAISSy-HOU, presented the numerous relevant projects, which have been implemented by the Research Group.
In addition, the members of DAISSy-HOU participated in numerous Sessions and also delivered presentations in two series of Lightning Talks. Furthermore, Ms Georgakakou, as the elected Deputy Chair of the Board of Directors (BoD) of the european network ALL DIGITAL (AD), that organizes the Summit annually, handed the Digital Accessibility Award at the dedicated AD Awards Ceremony, which aims to honor remarkable contributions to the digital field.
DAISSy has been an active member of AD since 2016, with its Founder and Director, Professor at HOU Dr. Achilles Kameas, having been elected as a member of the BoD for a number of years, and as President of the BoD for two terms, and Ms. Eleni Georgakakou, Senior Project Manager and Lead Researcher, being an elected member and Deputy Chair in the current term.
