The DAISSy Research Group of the Hellenic Open University (HOU), launches the implementation of the pilot phase of the short courses of the “SMARCO – Blueprint for SMARt COmmunities’ Skills Development in Europe  European project, currently undergoing by DAISSy-HOU as the Greek partner. This training cycle has been developed within the framework of SMARCO and currently is being piloted across six European countries, with DAISSy–HOU  as the National Coordinator of the pilot in Greece. In parallel with the national pilot educational program, a multinational piloting activity is taking place, fostering cross-border collaboration and knowledge exchange among participants.

The SMARCO project has designed two key professional profiles, forming the future of smart communities, namely:

  • Smart Community Resilience Engineer
  • Smart Community Resilient-solutions Procurer/Planner

The respective online educational courses will equip students and professionals with the necessary skills, so as to build smarter and more resilient communities across Europe.
