BNPPD Postgraduate Diplomacy Thesis

Module Outline

General Description:

The dissertation will be of a bibliographical or research nature and the framework of its preparation and grading will be determined by the Regulations of Studies. The language of the dissertations is either Greek or English.

Course Content: The postgraduate thesis is meant to combine and utilize the knowledge students have acquired over the module of their studies. Students may propose a topic of their choosing for their Postgraduate Diploma Thesis, taking into account a special list of topics (with detailed descriptions) drafted by the T.U. Coordinators. This list is drafted based on the wider subject matter of the postgraduate studies program, as well as those of the six individual T.U. Students must prepare the final topic and description of the Postgraduate Diploma Thesis in collaboration with the counselor.

  1. Mathematical Modeling in the fields of Biology and Medicine
  2. Neurobiology Algorithms and Techniques
  3. Modeling of Cellular Systems by NGS techniques

Prerequisites: The presentation of the Dissertation takes place after successful completion of the program’s Modules.

Laboratory Training (LT BNP)

The BNP is reinforced with laboratory training. The laboratory training will take place between 4-14 March each year. Students who have successfully completed the first semester of the programme will be eligible to participate.

The laboratory training is compulsory, is not weighted by grades and takes place with physical presence at the Laboratory of Bioinformatics and Human Electrophysiology at the Ionian University of Corfu.
