Καθηγητής στο Ελληνικό Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο στο αντικείμενο της Διαχείρισης Υγρών Αποβλήτων.
Διευθυντής Σπουδών του ΠΜΣ ‘Διαχείριση αποβλήτων’, Συντονιστής της Θεματικής ενότητας ‘Διαχείριση Υγρών Αποβλήτων’ ΔΙΑ (60) Απρίλιος 2017-μέχρι σήμερα.
Κοσμήτορας της Σχολής Θετικών Επιστημών και Τεχνολογίας του ΕΑΠ (από 01 Σεπτεμβρίου, 2016, επανεκλεγείς τον Μάιο του 2019 για τριετή θητεία έως 31 Αυγούστου, 2022).

Επαναχρησιμοποίηση Υγρών και βιοστερεών

  1. Study of the effects of wastewater and sludge on soils and plants forest species and vegetables.
  2. Accumulation of heavy metals in soil and plants due to reuse of wastewater and sludge.
  3. Interactions between heavy metals and essential elements and their distribution in various plant parts and elemental contribution to soils and plants, with particular emphasis on the edible parts.
  4. Quantification of interactions elemental contribution to soils and plant and effects on soil fertility and plant productivity
  5. Effect of sludge and wastewater on plant growth and on the elemental accumulation in soil and plants in the presence of geolite
  6. Assessment and prediction of heavy metal soil pollution due to the wastewater and sludge reuse or to industrial activities, by the use of pollution load index (PLI) and Transfer factor (TF) and establishment of optimum or critical levels of the above parameters.
  7. Management of wastewater and sludge reuse in soils of low productivity (infertile and decertified soils) and in ecologically sensitive areas of river estuaries and lagoons.
  8. Pharmaceuticals , antibiotics and care products in wastewaters.
